Background
Before the phone, before the emails – three minutes to arrive in your body, take a few slow breaths and choose how you want to meet the day. Short enough for even the busiest mornings.

Before the day begins, let yourself pause here for three minutes.
Sit at the edge of your bed, or wherever you are. Feel your feet on the floor.
Notice the light in the room. Is it still grey, or already bright?
Take a slow breath in through your nose…
and let it out a little longer than it came in.
Again. In…
and a long, easy breath out.
One more. Let this one be the slowest.
Now, before the to-do list arrives, ask yourself one simple question.
How do I want to feel at the end of today?
Maybe calm. Maybe proud. Maybe simply rested.
Choose one word, and let it sit with you for a moment.
You don't have to make it happen. Just keep it nearby, like something in your pocket.
When the day gets busy, you can come back to that word.
Take one last breath, and stretch your arms if you like.
The day can start now. You've already given it a good beginning.
